The deaths of Eric Garner and Michael Brown, and the non-indictment of the police officers who killed them, have dominated the news and become a part of a public conversation. How are teachers, librarians, program officers delving into the details surrounding these cases and exploring the broader context in which these tragedies occurred? How are these issues being addressed in the classroom, in a course syllabus, in a class assignment? 
Clarion is working on an article in its upcoming issue on ‘Teaching on Racial Injustice and Police Conduct,’ inspired by ideas collected by the hashtag: #fergusonsyllabus. We want to know how you’ve addressed these topics in the classroom, or how you plan to next semester. We may interview you further for the story. We’re working on deadline and are seeking responses by Wednesday, December 17.
