PSC Endorsed Candidates
City-Wide Endorsements
NYC Mayor: Rank in Your Top Three
- Adrienne Adams: Speaker Adams has been a key foil to Mayor Adams over his term in office, fighting for restorations to CUNY and spearheading new programs like CUNY Reconnect that brought 47,000 students back to the University. She attended York College and is from a family of CUNY alums.
- Brad Lander: Lander has been an advocate for CUNY when he was a council member and as Comptroller. He is a co-founder of the Council’s Progressive Caucus. He has been instrumental in our efforts to bring funding to CUNY through property tax equity. As the only progressive candidate who has won citywide office, Brad has a strong shot at being our next mayor.
- Zohran Mamdani: Assemblymember Mamdani has been a key ally in Albany, and sponsor of the REPAIR Act that would require large universities pay a portion of their forgone property taxes to CUNY. He is also a cosponsor of the New Deal for CUNY. Mamdani’s populist campaign vision has exceeded the public’s expectations and has an undeniable appeal with many of our members.
NYC Mayor: Rank Four or Five
- Zellnor Myrie: Senator Myrie has advocated for our members at Medgar Evers College on local issues, and has regularly called for additional state funding for CUNY. He is a cosponsor of the New Deal for CUNY.
- Jessica Ramos: Senator Ramos has been a champion for workers as Chair to the Senate Committee on Labor. We are grateful for her advocacy for our members at the Research Foundation and for workers across New York State. She is a cosponsor of the New Deal for CUNY.
- NYC Comptroller – Justin Brannan
- NYC Public Advocate – Jumaane Williams
