Each Wednesday, the PSC is making a coordinated effort to join our voices together in advocacy for what we want! We’ll offer fast, simple opportunities to take impactful political action together.
While calling legislators, signing petitions, or speaking out online may feel like small actions, research and experience shows they can have big impacts. By engaging with these easy actions collectively, through our union, you can multiply your impact significantly.

Text Your Friends: Don't Rank Cuomo!
2-Page Voter Briefing | Full Voter Guide
The NYC Democratic primary election is less than a week away! The PSC is mobilizing to make sure everyone who loves CUNY knows which CUNY Champions to support with our votes (and which disgraced former Governor to NOT RANK.)
Today, we’re contacting PSC members to share the union’s endorsements and spread the word: DON’T RANK CUOMO! This kind of direct relational outreach is proven to increase turnout and win elections. In this close race, your calls or texts can make a difference. Try to reach out to folks you have a good relationship with who might not be totally plugged in to local politics.
You can copy and paste the draft message here:
Hey! I’m reaching out ahead of the mayoral primary next week. Our union is encouraging folks to NOT RANK CUOMO because he cut CUNY funding and hurt our pensions, all to fund giveaways to big business. We recommend Adrienne Adams, Brad Lander, and Zohran Mamdani in any order for the first three ranked choice spots! Can you commit to not ranking Cuomo?
Here’s a short doc with more information about how to vote to support CUNY: psc-cuny.org/briefing. And here’s a page with more info on our endorsements for Comptroller (Justin Brannan), Public Advocate (Jumaane Williams), and City Council: psc-cuny.org/voterguide

Our allies tell us that there is momentum in Albany to support the New York For All campaign. This week, we’ll call our legislators again to urge that they pass the New York For All Act, which would prohibit state and local government agencies, including law enforcement, from colluding with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), sharing sensitive personal information, or allocating personnel and resources to aid in federal immigration enforcement efforts. We want them to pass the bill before the legislative session ends next week!
