In emails and phone calls, tweets and public testimony, PSC members told management that CUNY needs a new union contract now, and that the lack of a settlement is hurting the University. The grassroots pressure campaign drew a response.

Fifty years ago, CCNY students made the journey south to join the fight for voting rights. Many were changed by the struggle-- as was their college.

Surveys indicate that fewer than 13% of Wikipedia contributors are women. Some CUNY faculty members are part of an effort to change that.

The deadline for a new State budget is April 1, and the outcome will shape CUNY’s ability to offer competitive wages and benefits in the years ahead. See also:
