Support the Verizon Strikers
Forty thousand unionized Verizon workers are still on strike, fighting to preserve union jobs with fair pay and good working conditions. Despite amassing record-breaking profits in recent years, Verizon wants to close call centers and outsource jobs, reduce benefits and eliminate job security. To show solidarity and support, the PSC chapter at the CUNY Graduate Center, together with the CUNY Adjunct Project and CUNY Struggle, has adopted a Verizon store and is recruiting picketers to join Verizon workers on the line. You can show support by signing the petition addressed to the Verizon CEO if you haven’t already. You too can join the strikers on a picket line.
