92% Yes! President Bowen’s Message to Members

Thank you, PSC! 92% of voters on strike authorization voted YES. Together we have sent an unequivocal message to the CUNY Chancellor and to Albany that PSC members are determined to fight for what we need-and what our students need. Read the full message.

2016 Chapter Elections Results

Eleven PSC chapters held elections in April 2016 to choose chapter officers, delegates and alternates to the PSC Delegate Assembly and the PSC-CUNY Welfare Fund Advisory Council. The Elections Committee met on Friday, May 13 to certify the votes. Results are posted here on the PSC website. The effective date of office for the spring chapter elections is May 27, 2016. The newly elected officers and delegates will serve a three-year term.

Support the Verizon Strikers

Forty thousand unionized Verizon workers are still on strike, fighting to preserve union jobs with fair pay and good working conditions. Despite amassing record-breaking profits in recent years, Verizon wants to close call centers and outsource jobs, reduce benefits and eliminate job security. To show solidarity and support, the PSC chapter at the CUNY Graduate Center, together with the CUNY Adjunct Project and CUNY Struggle, has adopted a Verizon store and is recruiting picketers to join Verizon workers on the line. You can show support by signing the petition addressed to the Verizon CEO if you haven’t already. You too can join the strikers on a picket line.
