The PSC released the following statement in response to Governor Hochul’s announcement that former NYS Court of Appeals Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman will conduct an independent review of CUNY policies and procedures related to antisemitism and discrimination:
“Antisemitism is repugnant, and is on the rise nationally, as is Islamophobia. We agree with Judge Lippman that “discrimination in all its forms [is] unacceptable.” People of all faiths should feel welcome and safe at CUNY, and the rights of free speech and peaceful expression should be safeguarded.”
