‘Free the funds’ letter

Through several federal stimulus packages, CUNY colleges have received have more than $891 million in federal money that can be used for institutional purposes related to COVID-19 (see story on page 3). The chancellor has the responsibility, the union believes, to allow CUNY colleges to use this money to reverse the layoffs and cuts of the past year and invest in a safe reopening in the Fall. Send him a letter urging him to do the right thing.
