J. Philippe Abraham, Secretary-Treasurer of New York State United Teachers, will speak about NYSUT’s social justice work. Michael Bergen, Director of the Speech, Language and Hearing Center at Brooklyn College, will talk to us about the services that the Center provides. Also, Michael Foley of the Welfare Fund and Debbie Bell.

On March 15, 2025 a massive crowd of New Yorkers from across the labor movement and allies gathered at Foley Square for a march to demand the current administration to stop the federal cuts as right-wing politicians in Washington are moving forward with devastating proposals to cut two trillion dollars from Medicaid, Medicare, housing and food assistance and other vital programs to fund a massive tax giveaway to the wealthy and corporations.
