Dear City Tech Colleagues,
These are tough, chaotic times for everyone, and in the current political climate, many of us, students, staff, and faculty, are feeling vulnerable. Our PSC chapter wants to support you. Come organize with us! Scroll down for upcoming events and actions.
First, if you have not already done so, please sign the petition saying NO to ICE on our CUNY campuses:
https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/ybc_bBUgR_KtDUdzsvWw_g#/registration
Our May chapter meeting will provide you an occasion to hear two dynamic speakers on the pressing topic of Academic Freedom. We’ll also hear a brief explanation of ranked choice voting and the PSC mayoral candidate endorsements.
You should have received an email from CUNY Chancellor Matos Rodriguez on Monday, April 21, detailing the schedule for the implementation of our raises, back pay, and ratification bonuses. PSC President Davis also wrote a detailed explanation in an email that went out on April 23. Know that at City Tech, as a comprehensive senior college, we are paid by the state.
To continue the conversation, our chapter has a new email discussion group that we invite you to join! Please provide a non-CUNY email here if you are interested in joining the group! The URL for the form is here as well: https://forms.gle/j93pszkVGA7VEzuH8
Feel free to reach out.
In solidarity,
Carole Harris
PSC Chapter Chair at City Tech
