Dear Colleagues,

The PSC bargaining team and CUNY negotiators have reached agreement on a new contract with the final document, the proposed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), signed on December 16. It includes across-the-board raises of 13.4%, compounded, retroactive pay, additional equity raises for adjuncts, graduate assistants and other lowest-paid titles, and a ratification bonus for full-time PSC members of $3000, prorated for part-timers. The Delegate Assembly is considering it today and, should the DA vote to recommend, it moves to a union-wide ratification vote, which will be administered online and by phone.
We’re reaching out to invite you to a Committee for Adjuncts and Part-timers meeting to discuss the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) or the terms and conditions of our new contract and the significant provisions affecting adjuncts and part-timers. This is a vital opportunity to understand how these changes impact our work and future:

Topics include:
• Wage increases outlined in the MOA, moving to $6750 per 3-hour course in Spring 2026 and $7,000 per 3-hour course in Fall 2026 for adjunct lecturers.
• In 2027, there will be further increase to $7100 per 3-credit course and $9,467 per 4-hour course in 2027 and the change from hourly to per class payments.
• Jumbo Class Alignment
• Multiyear appointments.
• COBRA Coverage for people on the multi-year appointment who fall below six hours.
• Inclusion in Appendix M.
• What does professionalization mean and how will it impact our work.
