Baruch PSC-CUNY Chapter Meeting

Baruch PSC-CUNY Chapter Meeting

November 29, 12:30-2pm

Hi folks,

Hope your semester is moving along tolerably.

I’m writing to invite you to the second Baruch PSC Chapter Meeting of the Fall 2022 semester. The meeting will be Tuesday, November 29, at 12:30 pm and will be held on Zoom. We will discuss the chapter’s ongoing work this semester as well as some exciting things on the horizon for the PSC, including buildup to the contract fight.

1.Report from Labor Management Meeting: Participants in the October 18 L-M meeting will report on key aspects, as well as our follow-up with management in the wake of the meeting.

2.Reporting on Technology Survey: We will present the preliminary findings of our technology survey as well as next steps.

3.Hybrid Work Petition: A group of activists from the Baruch HEO chapter drafted a petition to preserve a flexible work environment in the vein of the Remote Work Agreement utilized during the COVID pandemic. We will be reporting on the petition and asking you to consider signing on.

4.Union Week: Monday, December 5 will begin union week. Our PSC chapter’s Campus Action Team will be sponsoring a number of events including a Wear-Red-for-Ed Day public event, a Baruch caravan to the December 5 Board of Trustees Meeting, a “Union 101” PowerPoint for students, and other activities. We will also announce a Baruch PSC end-of-semester party  to be held in-person around the time of finals.

5.Other Concerns: As we approach the time for our next L-M meeting, we want to spend time listening to any concerns members feel comfortable sharing.

The Zoom link for the meeting is here:

Thanks very much and I look forward to seeing you soon.

Take care,

On behalf of Baruch PSC Chapter Executive Committee
