Union Week 2024!

Contact your PSC chapter chair or stop at a PSC table organized by your campus chapter to pick up a Union Proud button and a Contract for #APeoplesCUNY sign for your office door/workspace. 

CUNY faculty and staff should review their personal personnel file at least once a year, and our contract gives you the right to do so. Decisions about things like reappointment, promotion, certification and tenure are made, in part, based on the contents of your personal personnel file. So, it’s crucial that you ensure the file is up to date and accurate. Learn more about exercising this important right here in the PSC’s newspaper, Clarion.

Complete the PSC survey about your experience learning Brightspace right now, then please support our extra effort during Union Week to increase participation in the survey. The union believes that CUNY has violated our contract by failing to provide compensation for many PSC members’ Brightspace training. We argue in a recently filed grievance that members who have been spending time to train themselves in the new learning management system, as well as to convert their courses to Brightspace, should be compensated.  Taking the survey will assist us in developing this grievance.

Union Week will be full of opportunities to get involved with your local chapter! Keep an eye on your email inbox, PSC social media accounts, and around your campus or worksite for upcoming events near you. Chapters will hold regular meetings, Decarbonize CUNY town halls, tabling events to promote union membership and engagement, and more!
