A Reading In Defense of CUNY
Two-time Booker Prize winner Peter Carey (Hunter College) and renown poet Kamiko Hahn (Queens College) joined PSC President Barbara Bowen on the Leonard Lopate Show (WNYC) on March 28. Click here for the podcast. (Hahn, Carey and Bowen appear at the beginning of second hour of the podcast.)

Carey and Hahn were part of CUNY Writers Against Austerity, the largest ever reading by CUNY poets and writers on Sunday, March 20 at the Great Hall of Cooper Union.
More than 50 accomplished writers of poetry and fiction from CUNY’s faculty added their creative voices to the fight to protect quality education at CUNY. The marathon reading was the writers’ public contribution to the PSC contract fight and to the union’s effort to increase funding for the University.

CUNY's Microsoft email has a security block for mass mailings that has held up some of our emails. A few thousand members have already voted, and we will all have the chance to vote. AAA believes they have a workaround, and they will again send out the message to all eligible members who have not yet voted. The emails will begin to go out in batches tonight, Monday, December 23rd. It may take a while to land in your inbox, (spam, or junk mail.)
