“Unsung Heroes: Give Thanks With A Grateful Heart”
College Laboratory Technicians (CLTs) are the backbone of CUNY. The pandemic proved our importance and how essential we are to the functioning of CUNY. CLTs are always at the frontlines for the university in our work. There is considerable talent that exists in the CLT titles, and they are the silent workers that get the job done at CUNY without any real recognition. Despite facing many risks and challenges every day in the workplace, CLTs are underpaid and underappreciated. During the pandemic, college administrators recognized the importance and talent that exists in the CLT titles and involved us in campus reopening plans, and in walkthroughs to make sure that campuses are safe for the return of students, faculty, and staff. CLTs are the Unsung Heroes.
Join us on November 15th as we come together for a meet and greet, to celebrate the winners of the Unsung Heroes Award Program (award nominations open until November 6), and to learn what’s ahead of us in our contract fight.
