Many CUNY campuses report mold problems. Years of deferred maintenance, leaks, and flooding create the conditions that encourage mold growth. Increasingly frequent extreme weather events will only make this problem worse. In this video, industrial hygienist Ed Olmsted explains what mold is, how it grows, the range of health impacts it can cause in our workplaces, and the regulatory steps that must be taken for effective mold remediation.
