Chancellor Milliken’s Reply to GC Faculty:
As we organize for a strike authorization vote, the Graduate Center chapter of the PSC is also organizing locally to fight austerity on campus. Last week, we sent a letter to Chancellor Milliken. Here is his response.

About our Letter to the Chancellor

Faculty at the CUNY Graduate Center are reinforcing the union-wide campaign for a fair contract with some impressive local organizing. Click here to read a letter to Chancellor Milliken signed by 111 central line faculty at the Graduate Center. The letter says all of CUNY is at a crossroads because of the lack of state funding and an equitable contract. It urges the chancellor to “stand for excellence at CUNY by fighting for adequate state funding for the University and by offering its employees a fair and equitable contract.”

CUNY's Microsoft email has a security block for mass mailings that has held up some of our emails. A few thousand members have already voted, and we will all have the chance to vote. AAA believes they have a workaround, and they will again send out the message to all eligible members who have not yet voted. The emails will begin to go out in batches tonight, Monday, December 23rd. It may take a while to land in your inbox, (spam, or junk mail.)
