Get Out The Vote

The 2024 general election is almost here! The stakes are high for unions and higher education workers across the country. Be part of the campaign to elect pro-worker pro-education candidates up and down the ballot. Click here to be added to the PSC’s election team so you don’t miss an opportunity to volunteer.

TODAY, Tuesday, October 1st at 6:00 PM, PSC members will be making get-out-the-vote calls to other higher education workers in the crucial swing state of Michigan to encourage them to vote for the Harris/Walz presidential ticket. This election could come down to a few votes in a few key states. Our calls could make a real impact. Join us on Zoom at 6 PM to make calls. Sign up here for TODAY’s October 1st phone bank!

If TODAY won’t work for you, check the PSC website for PSC sponsored phone banks every Tuesday until the election and NYSUT sponsored election actions that could help decide control of the House of Representatives.

Civil Disobedience Training for a Just Contract

October 9, 6:30 PM
PSC Union Hall, 25 Broadway, 15th Floor

Tell Us You’ll Be There!

The PSC bargaining team has decided to intensify our challenge to CUNY management. Developments at the bargaining table could change our assessment. But members who are able to risk arrest for a contract that shows faculty and staff the respect we deserve need to be prepared–now!

Come to the October 9th in-person training if you are ready and able to participate in an imminent escalation of the campaign. The PSC has undertaken similar actions effectively in the past, and experienced members and staff will help us prepare and answer questions. Click here to make a commitment to be there.

“C-U-N-Y Don’t let CUNY die!” was the chant March 24, 2016 as 41 CUNY supporters locked arms and lay down blocking the doors and sidewalk outside Governor Cuomo’s Midtown office building. The “die in,” held as State budget negotiations reached their final stage, helped PSC members, who had worked six years without a raise, win a fair contract with back pay.
