Dear colleagues,
I am writing to let you know that the PSC has secured an agreement with CUNY to extend the remote work agreement through June 30th , 2024. This will affect HEOs, CLTs, faculty librarians, and others. All PSC members share in the union’s fight to protect our working conditions and our students’ learning conditions. We can now, finally, concretize our work and personal plans as we continue to serve our students with flexible work schedules.
Thank you to the many members who spoke up at meetings of the CUNY Board of Trustees and at your college to let management know that the agreement was important to us and that the delay in extending the agreement was unnecessary.
Now that this uncertainty is behind us, I hope all of you have made a personal commitment to be a part of the union’s campaign to provide for remote work and flexible scheduling in the contract and to win our many other demands. CUNY has yet to provide us with dates to start contract negotiations and this is unacceptable since our contract expired at the end of February and we have been requesting dates since December.
