PSC Statement on Primary Election Results

The Professional Staff Congress is happy to report that 12 of the City Council candidates we endorsed in yesterday’s contested Democratic primary races won their elections outright. We congratulate our endorsed candidates on their primary victories and thank the PSC members who participated in the door knocking, phone banking and text banking that helped to get out the vote.

PSC members look forward to continuing to work with the members of the City Council–new and returning—to fight to restore full NYC funding for the City University of New York and to ensure that a high-quality college education is available to every New Yorker.
