Wear a T-Shirt at Work

Take Our Message about the Contract Directly to Students

Hundreds of PSC members have t-shirts now that say, “Five Years without a Union Contract Hurts CUNY Students’’—and on the back: “Ask Me Why.” They’re wearing them in class and at work, and talking with CUNY students, our allies in the fight for a better CUNY. We’ve deployed so many shirts we’re ordering more. To get yours, fill out this online pledge form. Shirts reserved via the online pledge form are being distributed to chapter chairs. If you’ve already signed up for a shirt and haven’t collected it yet, contact your chapter chairperson (list of chairs) and make arrangements to pick yours up. This flier and this page of the PSC website have a few suggestions on what to say to students and actions that students can take to show their support.

Hundreds wore the shirt on Tuesday, May 12th, which the PSC designated as “Teach in Your T-shirt Day.” Continue wearing the shirts to work and class.

CUNY's Microsoft email has a security block for mass mailings that has held up some of our emails. A few thousand members have already voted, and we will all have the chance to vote. AAA believes they have a workaround, and they will again send out the message to all eligible members who have not yet voted. The emails will begin to go out in batches tonight, Monday, December 23rd. It may take a while to land in your inbox, (spam, or junk mail.)
