UNION WEEK EVENTS

All Week: Check Your Pension

 

Wear Red for Higher Education, Monday, 12/5 (ALL DAY)

 

CUNY Board of Trustees Meeting, Monday, 12/5, 4:30pm

 

Joint PSC/UUP presser at Hostos on 12/8,  1 PM

 

Assertiveness Training on 12/8, 6:30 – 8:30 pm via Zoom

 

All Week: PSC Chapter Events

Local or borough-wide events organized by our union chapters and CATs.

    • December 1

      • Baruch: “Tabling with Bernie Baruch for Union Week”: Chapter Activists will be handing out candy canes and other free swag to help get folks excited about union week! Location: Around Bernard Baruch statue inside the 24th Street and Lexington Ave entrance to the Vertical Campus. Time: 10am-3pm
      • Brooklyn College: Tabling at the Bedford Avenue Gate, time TBD
    • December 5

      • Baruch: Red4Ed Day — 11:00 am-3:30pm — To kick off union week, we are asking everyone to show up wearing RED clothes and spend some time with us. We will be having free food, free candy canes, free union buttons, and a raffle for free PSC Swag. We will also be doing two group photos at 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm. Location: 2nd Floor Lobby, Vertical campus.
      • BMCC: Tabling at the main Chamber Street building, time TBD (Button making, distributing union swag and red candies for Red for Ed.)
      • LaGuardia: Tabling 9am-5pm on campus & Rally outside of the BOT meeting 3:30-5:30pm.
      • SLU: Tabling on the 14th or 18th floor, time TBD (Distributing union swag and red cupcakes)
      • York: Tabling in the Atrium Building (Sign a union card, pick up union swag, learn more about anti-bullying)
    • December 6

      • BMCC: Tabling at the main Chamber Street building, time TBD (Button making & distributing union swag)
      • Bronx CC: Pizza and Contract Discussion for PSC members, Second floor of Roscoe Brown Cafeteria, 12:30 – 1:15pm
      • Brooklyn College: “Beer & Buttons”: union button-making & drinks (including non-alcoholic), 4-6pm in the Faculty/Staff Lounge in Boylan Hall
      • GC: Support GC members and PSC workers at a community meeting with President Robin Garrell and Provost and Senior Vice President Steve Everett. 2-3 PM, Martin E. Segal Theater at the Graduate Center. Wear Red for Higher Ed!
      • Hostos: Tabling outside the student cafeteria, 1-4pm (We’ll be distributing union swag & asking folks to fill out cards describing what a New Deal for CUNY would mean to them.)
      • LaGuardia: Tabling 9am-5pm
      • York: Tabling in the Atrium Building (Sign a union card, pick up union swag, learn more about anti-bullying)
    • December 7

      • BMCC: Tabling at the main Chamber Street building, time TBD (Button making & distributing union swag)
      • Brooklyn College: Tabling, location & time TBA
      • Hostos: Tabling outside the student cafeteria, 2-4pm (We’ll be distributing union swag & asking folks to fill out cards describing what a New Deal for CUNY would mean to them.)
      • LaGuardia: Tabling 9am-5pm
      • Lehman: Solidarity Coffee Hour, Music Building , 12:30-2pm, Wear #Red4HigherEd 
      • QCC: Tabling 12-2 PM in the Science Lobby, outside Science Building Rooms S-111, S-112 (union informational materials and swag will be distributed)
      • York: Tabling in the Atrium Building (Sign a union card, pick up union swag, learn more about anti-bullying)
    • December 8

      • Baruch: Caravan to Hostos Community College: We will be meeting at 12:15pm at the corner of Lexington Ave and 24 St. to travel together to the PSC rally at Hostos Community College.
      • LaGuardia: Tabling 9am-5pm
      • Lehman: Gather in the plaza behind the Music Building at noon & travel together by public transportation to the PSC/UUP press conference at Hostos Community College.
      • York: Tabling in the Atrium Building (Sign a union card, pick up union swag, learn more about anti-bullying)
