Adolph Reed will speak on the intersection of race and class. A nationally renowned scholar on the issue, Reed is Professor Emeritus of political science at the University of Pennsylvania and the author of a number of books on American politics including Stirrings in the Jug: Black Politics in the Post-Segregation Era, The Jesse Jackson Phenomenon, and Class Notes: Posing As Politics and Other Thoughts on the American Scene.
