At 6 pm we’ll learn from other campus projects further down this same road on Sinlge Use Plastics Reduction. We will hear from:
Lisa Mittens, the head of Sustainability at SUNY New Paltz who will share how SUNY New Paltz developed the political power and then the plan to eliminate most single-use plastics (before the state law came into effect).
Alex Freid, a founder of Post-Landfill Action Network, will present how PLAN works to cultivate, educate and inspire the student-led zero waste movement. PLAN has worked with over 900 campuses in the last 9 years.
A full Q & A and discussion will follow, including a “Next Steps” action plan.
