Testify at the CUNY Board of Trustees Brooklyn Borough Hearing

Borough hearings of the CUNY Board of Trustees are an opportunity for the CUNY community to demand action from the Board on a wide range of issues.
PSC chapters at City Tech, Brooklyn College, Kingsborough Community College and Medgar Evers College are organizing members to testify at the April 6 hearing about the Health and Safety crises on their campuses. You can register to join them and testify about the crumbling state of your facilities, mold, construction debris, or other threats to health and safety in your workplace. Or sign up to testify about other concerns: the budgetary needs of your department or offices, the effects of rising enrollment on your workload, the need to strengthen – not undermine – First Amendment rights and academic freedom on campuses and end political blacklisting at CUNY.
Persons wishing to testify are required to notify the Office of the Secretary via email at [email protected] PRIOR TO NOON FRIDAY, APRIL 3. Your name, college and contact information should be included in the email. Copy PSC Communications Director Fran Clark at [email protected] when you email the Secretary, so we know that you will be there. Testimony is limited to three minutes. Substitution of registered speakers is not permitted. Bringing a print version of your statement to submit to the Board when you testify is recommended, but not required. Whether you can make it in person or not, written testimony of any length can also be uploaded to the Secretary’s Dropbox at this link before 12:00 noon, Wednesday, April 8th.
