PSC leadership continues to press for access to vaccines

The PSC, our statewide affiliate, NYSUT, and our counterpart union at SUNY, have succeeded in getting explicit inclusion of higher ed employees working in person added to the state’s 1B category for priority vaccination. Even though the category is described officially as “instructors and faculty,” the PSC takes the position that all instructional staff working in person—that is, professional staff as well as faculty—are included. If you are working on campus for any period this semester, you are encouraged to seek an appointment. Read more.

CUNY's Microsoft email has a security block for mass mailings that has held up some of our emails. A few thousand members have already voted, and we will all have the chance to vote. AAA believes they have a workaround, and they will again send out the message to all eligible members who have not yet voted. The emails will begin to go out in batches tonight, Monday, December 23rd. It may take a while to land in your inbox, (spam, or junk mail.)
