At the last chapter meeting of Spring 2025 we discussed having an all-membership strategy session for the coming year in order to further the PSC’s work within the Baruch community as we continue to build power.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, August 14, from 12:30 pm-3pm, Room 14-266 in the Vertical Campus with HYBRID option. There will be free food available as well as a happy hour following the meeting.
Provisional Agenda
1.Membership work: How do we expand our membership and foster member activism on campus?
2.Departmental representative structure: How do we define the role of departmental representative? How can we identify department reps in departments without strong PSC presence?
3.Potential campus-based campaigns: What are some issues facing Baruch that might form larger campaigns (for example, increasing maximum class size caps)?
4. Campus-wide political education: What kinds of activities can we plan on campus to educate ourselves and our students about labor issues and more (including film screenings, reading groups, etc.) ?
