Picketing and Leafleting Action
100 Wall Street – 9 AM, Monday, June 5
It’s been three months since our contract expired, and CUNY management has yet to respond to our repeated calls to begin negotiations. It’s inexcusable and disrespectful to all PSC members.
Monday, June 5, we’re taking our demand to begin bargaining to the investment bank where CUNY Board of Trustees Chair Bill Thompson works to send an undeniable message: CUNY must start bargaining with the PSC! Click here to let us know you’ll be at 100 Wall Street to join our 9:00 AM picket line and leaflet action.
Phone Zap CUNY Management
12 PM, Monday, June 5
PSC members who cannot attend Monday’s picket and leaflet action at 100 Wall Street can participate in a Phone Zap at noon the same day. We’ll gather briefly on Zoom to share a phone script and prepare before making calls pressing Chancellor Rodríguez and his team to come to the table. Click here to sign up for the Phone Zap. We’ll follow up and send you the Zoom link.
Open Forum on Racism and Anti-Racism at CUNY
Thursday, June 8 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM on Zoom

NYC Budget Campaign Phone Bank
On June 7 at 6 PM, PSC is joining our coalition partners at The People’s Plan and the CUNY Rising Alliance for a phone bank in support of a strong city budget that rejects the mayor’s cuts to CUNY and includes new investment, including academic advisors. We will be gathering on Zoom, calling voters in key City Council districts, and asking them to contact their council person. We’ll be able to directly connect the voters we call to their representative’s office. It is a very effective way of persuading the City Council to stay strong on funding CUNY. Click here to RSVP for the phonebank.
Commencement Sticker and Leaflet Actions
PSC members from Brooklyn College, Hostos, Hunter, Lehman, Queens, Queensborough and York are distributing leaflets and stickers at their commencement events this week. Most of the commencements have passed or are scheduled for today, but Brooklyn’s and Queensborough’s are this Friday, June 2 and LaGuardia’s is June 21. The sticker and leaflet actions all feature a congratulatory message for graduates and their families and a call to help ensure that the next generation of CUNY students has the resources they need for a great education. PSC members from Brooklyn, Queensborough and LaGuardia still have time to contact your chapter chair if you want to participate.

Send A Letter to the Mayor and the City Council
It’s CUNY Commencement Season and the Final Month of the NYC Budget Fight
The City Council has been outspoken in its support for CUNY. But now it’s time to insist that CUNY get all the funding it needs in the enacted City budget.
