Course Became "Obsolete" Due to Pathways

Top slideshow:

For the past 10 years I have taught 2 sections of one particular course (9 hrs/week). They offered about 12 sections total per semester taught by 5 adjuncts on average. Last year they hired 2 additional adjuncts because of heavy enrollment. This past fall the course became “obsolete” due to Pathways, so they cut the offerings to 6 sections. Instead of letting the new hires go, the cut all of the existing adjuncts to 1 class each for 4 hours/week. No one in the school ever has a conversation with us about plans or future plans. We are contacted by the Dept. office manager, offered a course and given 1 day to either accept or decline. Changes in the offerings come as a complete surprise, rendering my making alternate plans impossible.
