CONTROLLING CLIMATE CHANGE—OPTIONS FOR SUCCESS.
As PSC members we fight for the common good. This includes, of course, our efforts around healthcare and the safety net. Fighting for a livable planet is part of the same fight. As a follow up to an earlier program presented by our PSC Working Group on Environmental Justice, we will look more specifically at ways to control the negative impact of climate change on our lives, including those under consideration by New York State as well as the potential role of nuclear power.
Speakers:
- Anne Reynolds – Executive Director of the Alliance for Clean Energy New York, based in Albany.
- Len Rodberg – Long time chair of the Urban Studies Department, and now Professor Emeritus of Urban Studies, at Queens College/CUNY.
Part 2 of the meeting will be an update on our health insurance crisis.
